Golden Circle News

The Golden Circle of Glen Royal Baptist Church meets on the second Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. This is for all senior ladies to come and join in a time of food, fun, fellowship, and ministry .

2011 Schedule of Meetings:

January - Meet at the Church for fellowship, homemade soup, and sandwich.

February - Valentine Tea at the home of Donna Lynam. Meeting date Wednesday February 9th at 11:00 am. Bring a dozen homemade cookies or candy to package for shut-ins.

March -  Program on Effectively Using Coupons. Covered dish luncheon.

April - Trip to Rudy Theatre and lunch at Robins Nest.

May - Trip to Oxford to shop at Lace Outlet and Revlon Store. Lunch at seafood restaurant.

June - Guest Speaker to talk about safety issues. Pizza and salad for lunch.

July - Big Birthday Party - We'll celebrate everyone's birthday for the year. Pastor Faile will speak to the group. Bring a covered dish lunch. Birthday cake will be provided.

August - Breakfast at Briggs Restaurant and then back to the church to package cookies/candy for shut-ins. Bring a dozen cookies or candy to share.

September - Trip to Mt. Airy to eat, shop, and visit Andy Griffith Museum.

October - Trip to Charlotte to tour the Billy Graham Library.

November - "Helping Hands month." - We'll work on Thanksgiving Projects our church shut-ins. Soup, Sandwich, and dessert lunch at church.

December - "Helping Hands Month" - Continue to work on projects for the Holiday Season that will be taken to shut-ins. Bring a dozen cookies or candy to share. Lunch following at the church.

Trip to Governor's Mansion. We'll eat lunch out. DATE TO BE ANNOUNCED.
